Background: Heat-cured acrylic resin is the most often used to make denture bases. In its use as a base, heat-cured requires disinfectant clean it from contamination by microorganisms. Still, does not affect other properties of resin. Objective: This study aimed determine effect base disinfection with chlorhexidine and castor oil on surface roughness. Materials Methods: research laboratory experimental 30 bar-shaped (50x20x3mm) resin-denture specimens samples were divided into two groups, 0.2% simulated 3, 4, 5 years 10% affected years. The roughness was tested using Roughness tester TR200. Data analyzed univariate statistics an independent t-test (α = 0.05).
